Painted Chairs: Trash to Treasure

So for the record I am a total novice.

My rommmate and I enjoy having company over but quite often we dont have enough seating, so I have become the person who takes the chairs from the trash, I call it "THE TRASHE' and have finally gotten around to painting them.

I wish I would have taken a before and after pictures but here they are for you to see.  Now keep in my mind these are my 1st attempts:

Torch Lamp Makeover

In my quest to do something about this ugly torch lamp I was finally inspired by God.  I kept trying to find away to add a traditional lampshade little did I know that a fishbowl vase was going to work so much better.

I am still playing with some ideas of frosting the glass & painting the candlestick pole black but for right now I am happy to have the Restoration Hardware bulb in there.

For yourself you can find the fishbowl vase at Walmart or Target for dirt cheap.  The vintage bulb only ran me $7.50 from one of my favorite stores.
